Bank declined your loan?
Bank declined your home loan?
A declined home loan does not always mean you cannot borrow. It may mean that lender's policy did not suit your income, debts, credit history, deposit, property type or servicing position.
What a second opinion may involve
- Reviewing the likely reason for the decline
- Checking whether another lender's policy may assess it differently
- Identifying what information or documentation may help
- Explaining the next practical step

Why a decline may not mean "no"
Different lenders apply different policies to income, debts, credit history, deposit, property type and servicing. A decline from one lender may reflect that lender's specific criteria, not whether you can borrow at all.
Common reasons for a decline include servicing capacity, lender policy on income type, credit history, property type or location, deposit source, or responsible lending obligations. Some of these may be addressed by a different lender or with additional documentation.
What we may review
- • The reason given for the decline (if any)
- • Your income and employment situation
- • Existing debts and expenses
- • Credit history
- • Deposit or equity position
- • Property type and location
What we may do next
- • Identify whether lender policy may differ elsewhere
- • Check if additional documentation may help
- • Explain what may need to change before reapplying
- • Help avoid another application that may fail
- • Explain the next practical step
